Like that well known Rev Manasa Lasaro, in recent times another vocal personality has emerged. He is of course their current Secretary General, Reverend Ame Tugaue.
Reverend Tugaue was exiled to the Islands of the Lau Group by the Methodist Chruch in the 1970's following his violent actions against other citizens of Fiji. He was a Reverend then, and he is a Reverend now. It seems Reverend Tugaue has not changed, even though his exile to the islands was meant to rehabilitate him.
What has changed however is that the rogue group of people within the ranks of the Methodist Church have taken control of the Church, and have highly politicized the orgnisation, which is for the promotion of peace and gods teachings. This group, since the late 1980's have taken an extremist nationalistic political leaning and are perpetuating ungodly pronouncements and actions against sections of the community, and now the state.
Through this blog, I request the RFMF and the IG to also put an eagles eye into the affairs and deeds of the members of the Methodist Church, and to take them to task, as this organisation is being used to incite the population not only against the state, but also against a significant section of the community.

The Methodist Church has a very colourful recent history.
One Reverend Manasa Lasaro, the then General Secretary, came into prominence during and after 1987, and was instrumental in forcing through the Sunday bans at the time.
The Methodist Church has for a long time been a pressure group for the Taukei Movement, which is an extremist organisation promoting racism and actively campaigning against Indian participation in Governance and Decision Making.
As such associations and their continued outbursts are ungodly, and anti-Christ like, one wonders what this organisation really stands for.

The title "Reverend" means something that is revered, its holy and scared. The life that some Methodist Ministers are living now are just like the ones terrorist.
Ask any Lelean Memorial School Old Scholar and they will tell you what a thug posing in the cloth Rev Ame is. This is his modus operandi...he'd strut the corridors, compound and dormitories of the school at night hoping to catch young teenage lovers and if anyone is caught, they go through intense interrogation which also includes the sexual details. He would have intelligence on the ground to monitor lovers' letter writing etc. This is a man of the cloth who revels in sexual fantasies through his students. He is nothing but a thug. As for Rev Tuikilakila ask him what he did to one of the young female relative that lived with him who now struts the street of Suva as a prostitute when she ran away from his care at the tender age of 14. Kemudrau na i talatala kua na vosa ka me drau kelia mada na malamala mai na matamudrau se bera ni drau via vunauci keimami tiko na kaiviti. Thank you for the post which is right on the nail.
How does justify the lavish lifestyles of the men of the cloth when the masses of their congregations are poor and struggling. In the villages the church is like a burden around its members' necks. In some villages or circuits, right up to the bills are being paid for by members of the congregation. The esteemed grog-swiping/neo poiltician reverends just relax and visit families speaking and counselling while promoting whatever crap is being decided from the top. They walk into a fully furnished home replenished with furniture, linen, cutleries, their bills even telephone are being paid for so no wonder the church is attracting would be thugs who see the church as a means of living a good life. Some reverends are known to have affairs with members of their congregation and of course these are all covered up. When there is a new church being set up, these same pastors incite the villagers to reject the new churches so it's a wonder that the other mob of pentecostal churches are supporting the Methodist Church in this bid against the IG. The Methodist Church has been losing its members because of the burden they place on them. The church has been one of the main reasons behind the mass movement of people in the urban centers who are resorting to squatting giving up the otherwise tranquil life in the village because of the heavy load it places on its members in the rural areas, the villages and islands. So enough to the Methodist Church. Clean up your act and stop meddling into things that don't concern you. Most of your members are ignorant rural dwellers who are not affected by politics anyway so where do you get their call from? And most certainly not from God who is a caring God that does not tie the people in an evil bondage and a vicious cycle.
